Traveling around Andalucia Part 1

I am one year now here in Spain and since i arrived here i haven't put any entry about my trave here.  It is because i was starting little by little to adopt the life here which is very difficult. Until now i am still struggling but good thing is not as the same when it was my first 6 months here.
Because of that it is hard for me to write something because my mind is still absent. :) But well here i am again i am going to start little by little.

When i arrived in Spain last year it was also the start of my tour, been to many beautiful places and those places really surprised me.  Since i live in the south of Spain i get a chance to visit those famous tourist spot in Andalucia. For one year of my stay here i would like to share with you all the places that i have visited. I will start it randomly.

Ecija Skyline
Ecija is belong to the province of Seville.  Ecija is the place where the parents of my husband came from.  Its looks like Ilocos in Philippines it has lots of churches and the road is not a typical road pavement.  When i arrived there i thought it was just a simple place but the there was something behind those building and old houses.  I was amazed with all the churches that i've visited, the rustic color, the smell and even the structures are very old and unique.  It reminds me my home country because spanish people brought the catholicism in my country.

Giralda Tower
Sevilla is one of my favorite city, one of the very busy tourist spot in Andalucia, and Giralda tower is one of the famous spot in Seville. Aside from that there are Plaza de España where the movie Star Wars shot, the Plaza de Alcazaba where the famous Game of thrones series shot which is located in the center of Seville.  This city really caught my heart i don't know why but i fell in love in this place.

Puente Nuevo
I never thought that i could visit this lovely place oneday. Ronda is a romantic city  and it is more enjoyable specially for the couple but i am not saying that this is only good for the couple. Actually everybody can visit this place it has a good pictursque that everybody will enjoy.

City of Malaga

Malaga is the port city in Costa Del Sol, it is one of the modern city in Andalucia.  Like Madrid it has a modern style of buildings, high rise hotels and resort and other structures.

Tarifa beach

Tarifa is the smallest town in Cadiz, Spain, it is the most southern part of  continental Europe.  It is  most popular destination for wind sport.

For the mean time this is the first part of my travel around Andalucia but i will post soon the second part once i am done on it.  Hope you enjoy!

117th Philippine Independence Day (Costa Del Sol, Marbella,Spain)

It took three decades before Philippines feel the freedom from the colonization of Spanish, many filipino suffer during that time, but now everything changes.

When i was in Philippines the celebration of Philippine Independence day is just a normal day for me, but i remembered way back year 1998 it was a centennial year i was in my high school year during that time, my mother and i put a little Philippine flag in our door and for thecelebration of   centennial year.

Now i am living in the country who colonized my home country but all changes and i can't even deny that there are lots of things that spanish left to us before they left Philippines.

It's my first time to celebrate Philippine independence day away from my country and it's good to see that filipinos live abroad continue the culture.
I was invited with other filipinos here in Spain to join the celebration of 117th Philippine Independence day here in Costa del Sol in Marbella, and its good to see other filipinos as well eating pinoy food and speak the same language :) The moment i saw again the local dance from Philippines and heared the tagalog songs i was very emotional and there are also some spanish people who celebrated with us of course including the ambassador.  It feels good to be a filipino but sad to know that there are some filipino also who ruined the good images. But for  me no matter what, i am proud to be a Filipino. :)

Stop Racism!

It's been quite a while since my last post and I've already visited lots of places since i arrived here in Spain, but i couldn't find time to write about it until my husband told me to continue sharing my (ours) travel adventure. Well i think it's about time again but this time i am going to share about my not so good experience in my travel in Germany.

This morning me and my husband were about to go the train station going to the Munich International Airport, we woke up very early to be in the train station and also not to missed our flight going back here to Spain.  So we where in Hauptbahnhof station buying our ticket after that we headed down to wait for the train when we were in the escalator a German guy spoke in his language which i thought he was asking for something but since he speaks in German language my husband said "sorry we only speak english" but what was shocking was when the man spoke in english and he said "Asians are bitch" i really felt bad and hurt, and there were two other German at my back and the only thing they could do was just stare at me and the man.  As i stepped in the flatform on the station i wanted to go up again to look for that guy and report him to the police but my husband told me to ignore it because we are in a hurry to go to the airport for us not to missed our flight.  He said that those people are only looking for trouble, i was really hurt of what that man said.  As asian like me we treat and we welcome foreign people in our country with full of smile and respect.  I hope that German guy would realize that if not for asian people like me their tourism industry is nothing.  I stayed one week in Munich with my husband and everyday we've seen lots of asian tourist in that city. Korean, Japanese, Chinese etc. most of them are in a big group who tour around the city.

Our one week vacation in Munich is memorable we encounter also other German who is not like the man in the train station, in fact there was a man in English garten who lent us his frisbie disc because he saw our disc is not that good he was very nice and he even smiled at us.

I wish people would not be racist, because we are all equal we are not perfect as well, It is not my fault if i born to be asian i don't see any problem with that, in fact i am proud that i am married to the Spanish man. We all eat the same food unless those racist eat golden rice or golden bread for them to be unique.
