Samarreffic experience

After my tour from the City of Tacloban I headed to my father's place and that is Calbayog City, Samar.  I've been here many times but this is the only time i got a chance to explore the place.  For how many times i tried to enter in one of the biggest church in the City of Calbayog finally i got a chance to see what's inside.

This is the St. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Calbayog City, Samar!

Short trip around Tacloban City

When i was a kid my mom told me about the Tacloban City in Leyte, especially the San Juanico Bridge that connect the Leyte and Samar provinces.  Out of curiosity September i booked my ticket to visit my father in Samar.  Since i wanted to have an adventure trip and new experience i chose to land in Tacloban instead of Calbayog Samar.
Around 11:30 in the morning when i arrived in Daniel Romualdez Airport before my trip i already read some info on where to go around the city of Tacloban.  I rode a jeep bound to downtown fare is P13.00  from the Airport to downtown, but if you want an air condition  vehicle you can ride a Van or Taxi Cab there are lots of van's, taxi and Jeepneys waiting outside the airport.
Outside of Daniel Romualdez Airport

I did not follow my itinerary due to my delayed flight so i made Plan B!.  Before i left Manila i already printed out the Tacloban City map as my guide in exploring the city.

First stop! Sto. Nino Shrine

From the outside of Sto. Nino Shrine (Romualdez Museum) Tacloban City
I didn't got the chance to go inside the shrine due to time constrain. After here i walked along Calle Real until i reached my second stop over and that is Sto. Nino Church!

Sto. Nino Church Tacloban City

Bell Tower of Sto. Nino Church

This church is consider as the main church of Tacloban City, there are lots of people attended the mass during my visit here.

This are the multicabs going to downtown and to Tacloban Land Transport Terminal.
Since it was already past 12:00 i decided to go to the Duptours Terminal, those are the vans  going to Calbayog City, Catbalogan, Catarman Samar and Some part of Samar. I really wanted to stop in one of the longest bridge in the Philippines but i rather not to because it was already late and i have no idea how long it will take to reach Calbayog City.

at Duptours Terminal
The van left at 1:45 pm i did not ate lunch that time so i ate some snacks and cookies that i brought just in case i get hungry.
And last but the most exciting happened to me during my Tacloban trip was witnessing the longest Bridge in the Philippines!!

SAN JUANICO BRIDGE
My Tacloban adventure was really great! though it was a short trip it's still a great experienced for me. I'm so amazed on the places I've seen as a solo backpacker! Its more fun in the Philippines!!:)

Safe and Sound.......

This post is just to share my flight experience in SEAIR/TIGERAIRWAYS

October 31, 2012 9:10 in the morning was my flight bound to Tacloban, but unfortunately it was delayed by almost 30 minutes (as always).  The DG 7044 Tacloban bound flew at around 10:15 am instead of 9:10 am.  I arrived at Tacloban around 11: 15 in the morning.  We all experienced delayed flight in all Domestic Airlines.
while waiting for my delayed flight at Domestic Airport Terminal 4

This is my own opinion upon riding in SEAIR. and made comment about my flight, it was my first time to ride in SEAIR plane, the crew is very accommodating, the plane was very nice :) and i arrived safe.  Thanks to Capt. Villanueva for taking care of all the passengers. It was a good flight though. The weather is cloudy but i didn't felt any erratic movement during my trip. For a traveler like me it was a plus factor.

All in all my experience in SEAIR was good! Kudos to all the crew of SEAIR! please continue the good service!!  :)

SPAIN!!! What's in this place why i am so eager to visit or step to this place. I haven't been like this when i  was dreaming about visiting Japan.  But SPAIN!!!what the heck!! I know its impossible but i'm gonna find way to make it possible!. There's so much thing in this place, and this is how it affect me. I started to love these place, i found myself studying about their culture, the history, food, tourist spots and the people of course and their language.  I met some people online and in some site who also a travel blogger, they say "Barcelona" is one of the best place to visit in Spain. I even talked to some people who also live in Spain, from Barcelona to Madrid   etc. Some of them are nice while others are not. But it doesn't matter.  I know it takes 6, and more than a year before i come to that place, need to fly for more than an hour but the eagerness of my love for you will not change.

I'm craving to see you and witness your place! I want to hug you! I want to kiss you! I want to see how awesome you are!!Most of all I want you and I LOVE YOU!!!

Of course who would not dream to travel Europe?!! Europe is very nice place indeed and aside from that a very expensive one but who cares?!  Visiting this country is a worth to stay.   Paris one of the place i really wanted to visit and explore, and you couldn't possibly visit Paris without seeing the Eiffle Tower.
Eiffle Tower
I remember my friend when she visited France, she gave me an Eiffle tower key chain! and hope someday i could visit this place, from Paris lets move to Greece!!:)

What comes to your mind when you think about Greece? Me i think of Santorini!!

Santorini by night..grabbed from google
Santorini has a great architecture design, its main attraction is the landscape and the seascape of the island itself. I am so amazed by the design of their houses, it also has a very romantic view and best place plan your wedding :)

Spain! I met someone who lives in Spain, we talk about his place and same as mine, we exchanges travel experiences from different places.  We talk about festivities, cultures and even history (funny indeed remembering the time when Spaniard colonized the Philippines).  That was a great conversation i had with him and learning from each others experiences.

Barcelona one of the place i wanted to visit in Spain, why? because of the awesome architectural design of their churches, The history , food and the people.  The picture below is the Sagrada Familia Cathedral work of Antoni Gaudi- still unfinished but this is the most visited place in Barcelona. Great work!!

Photo grabbed from Google: Sagrada Familia in Barcelona
Aside from the amazing design of their cathedral, i heard they also have a great taste of food, a unique and authentic food. :)

Paella, Churros with hot chocolate and one of their specialty is the Tapas..Hmm i have no idea about their "Tapas" but i think it taste good :)

my favorite!!! ^_^

Short escape in long weekend

Each corporate slaves always yearning for a "long weekend" this is their time to relax, time to escape from the corporate world, escape to their horrible bosses or sometimes to spend time with their family.  So we didn't passed the chance to escape, Last Sunday August 19, 2012 me and my officemates went up to Tagaytay just to chill and leave for a while the toxic days from the office.  Our original plan was supposedly go to Nuvali but since its almost 11 am when we finally arrived in our meeting place we changed our plan. We headed to Tagaytay and ate lunch at Leslies located at Aguinaldo Hi-way Tagaytay City, Cavite we arrive at around 1:00 in the afternoon.

Very relaxing place it's an open air restaurant so you'll feel the cold breeze while eating, the picture below was the old bamboo as one of their interior inside the restaurant .

we ordered their specialty which is Bulalo and others like Pinakbet and Lechon kawali. Yummy!!! :)

after we ate lunch we proceed at Natures Discovery Camp a few meters away from Peoples Park, on our way to Natures discovery i saw lots of fruits stand along the hi-way nothings new but still

i am always amazed by,and  its been a long time since the last time i visited this place..

This is the view from Natures Discovery Camp, overlooking the Taal Volcano and the lake

way down at Natures Discovery Camp Mini Forest, very steep!!
this place is perfect for team building or even put up a tent and spend overnight with friends or family.

After we tour and survived the very steep and short trek in their so called "Mini Forest" we left and head to Nuvali we stayed for an hour then we decided to visit kuya allan's house in Pacita Laguna to have some merienda "unli lugaw, lumpia, egg and tokwa't baboy..:) yummmmm...
We left Laguna at around 8:00 pm. I arrived home late but its okay, i did not feel tired.
All in all we went home with smiles in our face. It was a short escape but we really had fun. Again we look forward for another long weekend and escape just like we did.. :)
